35-MINUTE PROGRAMS
Animal Colors: Why do animals come in so many colors? Learn about camouflage and mimicry tactics with appropriate games, animal artifacts and live animals.
Eggstraordinary Spring: Do bees dance? Do trees make food? Who lays eggs? Uncover the mysteries of spring!.
Sensational Senses: Meet the animals and their amazing senses to explore how they survive in the wild!
Winter Wonders: How do animals survive some of the harshest weather of the year? All creatures big and small have their own winter secrets. Learn about them to discover some real winter wonders.
50-MINUTE PROGRAMS
These can be modified for students ages 5 and up.
Amazing Adaptations: Animals are born with adaptations to help them survive, communicate and defend themselves in their habitat. Live animals along with animal artifacts show first-hand how remarkable these creatures are.
Dinosaur Days: Slides, fossils, dinosaur replicas and modern day reptiles bring these creatures back to life in your classroom.
Colonial Times: Explore what life was like for the colonists and their children when they arrived in this country. Experience and learn about their home life, schooling and farming through games, handcrafted tools, clothing, a model house and more!
Birds of Prey: Live Birds of Prey demonstration with local species of Hawks, Falcons, and Owls. We will discuss all aspects of these birds and focus on some of their exceptional qualities including sight, hearing and hunting.
Endangered Species: Groups will learn several causes of current endangered wildlife and habitats. Illegal trade items, habitat games and representatives of some real endangered species help create an impact that makes a lasting impression and evokes possible solutions.
Fur, Feather & Fins: Animal classification is a lot easier to grasp when live examples are there to see and touch! We start with differences in body covering and delve into greater detail through interactive sensory games.
Lenape Times: The Lenape Indians lived right in our area about 500 years ago. Relive some of their past and culture through slides, hand-crafted tools, clothes, musical instruments and a model Lenape village.
Snakes Alive: Experience these amazing and misunderstood creatures first hand! Dispel common myths and learn all about their reptilian biology!
Rain Forests:The rain forest is a diverse yet fragile ecosystem that needs our help. Explore the layers of life and the importance of this fascinating world. Meet some of the rain forests' finest and uncover their mysterious secrets.
Habitat: Learn the basic components of habitat and what makes each one unique. Meet the animals that live in deserts, woodlands, wetlands and other interesting habitats and uncover what allows them to live there.
My Backyard: Learn what kind of animals live in your neighborhood, and how to find them. Meet a variety of animals that can be found locally (may include a Short-Eared Owl, a Black Rat Snake, and a Box turtle).

Each program is also charged a mileage fee which is $0.40 per mile round trip from GVNC to your location.
