Program Descriptions
Fur, Feathers and Fins: (1 hour) With the help of visual and hands-on materials, as well as live animals, learn the differences between the different class of animals.
Birds of Prey: (1 hour) Live birds, slides, and artifacts help us discuss the adaptations that make these birds unique.
Endangered Species: (1 hour) Live animals and endangered species artifacts help students to understand the causes and effects of endangered species.
Cycles of Life: (1.5 hours) Put together a giant puzzle with pieces such as the sun, plants, and animals, and bacteria. Follow the flow of energy through the cycle.
Dinosaurs & Fossils: (1 hour) Discover, through slides and demonstrations, how dinosaurs ruled the earth.
Pollution Solutions: (1 hour)Through a combination of visual and group activities, explore the types and sources of pollution, their effects and ways to reduce the problem.
Problems with Pests: (1 hour)Group activities and discussion introduce the components of integrated pest management.
